The Appellants were charged with and convicted of armed robbery. They were sentence to 30 years’ imprisonment and ordered to pay compensation to the victim. Their appeal to the High Court was dismissed. Aggrieved by such dismissal they appealed to Court of Appeal arguing that the lower courts relied on unreliable identification, a caution statement that was not voluntarily obtained and contradictory testimony of prosecution’s witnesses to convict them. The Court considered the grounds raised by the Appellants.
