The Appellant was charged with and convicted of the murder of his stepchild. In convicting him the trial court relied on a medical report. He was sentenced to suffer death by hanging. Dissatisfied with the decision of the trial court the Appellant appealed to the Court of Appeal. The major issue before the Court of Appeal was the propriety of the procedure adopted in admitting the medical report in evidence.
