The Appellants were convicted of murder as charged and sentenced to suffer death by hanging. They were aggrieved and appealed. It was contended on their behalf that the prosecution did not prove the case beyond reasonable doubt. It was argued that the identification evidence was very weak and it was not corroborated. The counsel for the Respondent also did not support the Appellants’ conviction. The Court addressed itself to the question as to whether the charges against the Appellants were proved beyond reasonable doubt.
