The Appellant herein was the petitioner at the High Court
for grant of letters of Administration for the estate of the late Diana Artemis
Ranger. The Appellant was given power of attorney by the deceased’s surviving
uterine brother by the name of Anastasius Anagnostou to administer the estate
of his late sister. He was unsuccessful in the High Court and instead the High
Court granted letters of administering the estate of Diana Ranger to Georgio
Anagnostou, the deceased’s nephew, the son of Diana’s pre-deceased brother.
Dissatisfied with the decision of the High Court, the Appellant preferred this
appeal.
