The Appellant was convicted
of robbery with violence and sentenced to imprisonment for thirty years. His
appeal to the High Court was not successful. The judge dismissed the appeal

caution statement Exhibit P4, a certified true copy of the original, was
admitted without giving the accused opportunity to object. He also argued that
the trial court did not inquire whether the confession was made voluntarily
