The three Appellants were convicted by the High Court of
armed robbery and each was sentenced to 30 years’ imprisonment. They appealed
to the Court of Appeal on the grounds that the conviction was based on a
confession taken by Kenyan police officers from Kenya Police Force, the
evidence lacked corroboration and that visual identification was not reliable.
