The Appellant was charged before the District Court of
Arusha of rape and on conviction he was sentenced to 10 years’ imprisonment
term. He appealed against conviction on the ground that the prosecution side
did not prove the case against him beyond reasonable doubt. The High Court
considered the ground of appeal; it also considered the propriety of the
sentence given to the Appellant.
