The Appellant was convicted for the offence of armed robbery, and sentenced to serve 30 years in prison. His appeal to the High court proved futile, it was dismissed on the application of the principles of the doctrine of recent possession, visual identification and incrimination by the co- accused cautioned statement. Aggrieved by the decision of the High court the Appellant appealed to the Court of Appeal.
