The Appellant was charged of fourteen (14) counts to which
he pleaded not guilty. Almost a year later, the charge sheet was altered to
cater for dates of commission of the 3rd to 14th counts.
The new charge was never read to the accused for him to plead. He was
consequently found guilty and convicted of both counts. Aggrieved, he appealed
to the High Court where the appeal was dismissed on all counts save the 1st
count. Dissatisfied with the decision of the High Court, hence, this appeal.
