The dispute between the parties in this case is in respect
of a surveyed piece of land, registered as Plot No. 246 Block “A” located at
Ufukoni Area within Mtwara Municipality. The Respondent commenced a suit at the
District Land and Housing Tribunal against the Appellants and the Mtwara
Municipal Council, claiming ownership of the suit plot. In its findings, the
District Tribunal held in favour of the Respondent, hence the instant appeal by
the Appellants.
