This is an application for extension of time within which to
file an application for revision of the Judgment of the High Court of Tanzania
Dar es Salaam in PC Civil Appeal No. 84 of 2016. The Respondent duly filed the
Affidavit in Reply sworn by the Respondent. Neither of the parties filed
written submissions.
The Respondent was on the 18th of February 2015
appointed the administratrix of the estate of Yohane Claudio Dugu who died
intestate on 14th November 2014. The applicant came forward seeking
to be included as one of the beneficiaries of the estate of the deceased
claiming to be a wife of the deceased. At the Primary Court, the applicant was
disqualified from being amongst the beneficiaries, the court refusing to
recognize her as a legal wife of the deceased.
Aggrieved by the decision, the applicant appealed to the
District Court where the court set aside the decision of the Primary Court. The
Respondent was dissatisfied with the decision of the District Court and
appealed to the High Court. The High Court dismissed the appeal hence this
application for extension of time to file application for revision of the High
Court decision.
