The Appellant was charged with the offence of murder
contrary to section 196 of the Penal Code [Cap 16 R.E. 2002]. It was alleged by
the prosecution that on 17th May, 2013 at Ujiji Guest House, Mwanga
area within the Municipality and Region of Kigoma, the Appellant did murder one
Saidi Omari @ Verna, the deceased. After a full trial, the Appellant was
convicted and sentenced to suffer death by hanging. The Appellant was
aggrieved, and presently seeks to impugn the decision of the High Court upon a
memorandum of appeal which is comprised of four grounds of grievance.
